Life After Death - Here is the Proof!

Is there any purpose or explanation at the core of our existence? Is there God or any other transcendent force? This is a rather long post touching on existential questions involving the meaning of life!  Well, if you are still interested read on.

Typical conversation between two people:

Person 1: “Presently, we are eating food, growing in size, playing games, and learning new things. Overall, we are having a nice time here. Have you ever thought about life after death? Do you believe in it?”

Person 2: “Why, of course. There has to be something after death. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”

Person 1: “Nonsense. There is no life after death. What kind of life would that be?”

Person 2: “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will have wireless charging that will allow us to fly around like a bird and also allow us to absorb nutrients from the environment through our skins. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”

Person 1: “That is absurd. Flying around is impossible. And having food through our skins? Ridiculous! These are all fanciful things about after life. Life after death is to be logically excluded.”

Person 2: “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we can all fly like birds.”

Person 1: “Nonsense. And moreover, if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Death is the end of life, and in the after-death there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”

Person 2: “Well, I don’t know, but certainly we will meet God and He will take care of us.”

Person 1: “God? You actually believe in God? That’s laughable. If God exists then where is He now?”

Person 2: “He is everywhere. We are surrounded by him. We are of Him. It is in Him that we live. Without Him this world would not and could not exist.”

Person 1: “Well I don’t see Him, so it is only logical that He doesn’t exist.”

Person 2: “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive His presence, and you can hear His loving voice, calling down from above.”

Now, imagine a very similar conversation between two kids (twins) inside a mother’s womb:

Twin 1: “Presently, we are taking in nutrients, growing in size, playing games, and learning new things. Overall, we are having a nice time here. Have you ever thought about life after delivery? Do you believe in it?”

Twin 2: “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”

Twin 1: “Nonsense. There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”

Twin 2: “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe, instead of floating in fluid like this, we will live on firm ground, walk with our legs, and eat with our mouth. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”

Twin 1: “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies all the nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”

Twin 2: “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”

Twin 1: “Nonsense. And moreover, if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”

Twin 2: “Well, I don’t know, but certainly we will meet Mother and She will take care of us.”

Twin 1: “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”

Twin 2: “She is all around us. We are surrounded by Her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”

Twin 1: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”

Twin 2: “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”

So, what do you infer or deduce from these two pieces of real and imaginary conversations?
  • that our thinking and experiences are limited by our senses;
  • that, just as birth opens up a new world for the baby, death grants us a completely new heavenly abode of a higher dimension;
  • that birth and death are just transitional events to a new life;
  • that before-birth phase and after-death phase are very similar to our present-living phase;
  • that just as before-birth phase is a period of hibernation (10-months) in the mother’s womb, the after-death phase is another period of hibernation in a Supreme being’s care;
  • that we know about the before-birth phase of our life, we have solid experience of the after-birth or before-death phase of our life, but we can only conjecture about the after-death phase of our life;
  • that there is a divine part of us that existed before our birth and that will exist after our death, namely the soul, the immortal essence of a living being, the essence of who we are, what we are, and what we may yet be;
  • that we are a new version of our experiences accumulated in the past; that there is a natural process of conception, birth, death and rebirth;
  • that there is a supreme order that regulates an endless cycle of creation, preservation, and dissolution, personified by the Hindu trinity of Lords: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva;
  • that the concept of reincarnation offers one of the most attractive explanations of humanity's origin and destiny;
and several more endless extrapolations and conjectures...
