Raping The POCSO Act!

POCSO stands for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. A learned judge, Justice Pushpa Ganediwala, of the Bombay HC has pontificated that groping a minor’s breast without “skin-to-skin contact” does not constitute as sexual assault under POCSO! 


It is an Act of the Government to protect children from offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography and provide for establishment of Special Courts for trial of such offences and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Fortunately the Supreme Court has stayed this outlandish order of the Bombay High Court in time.



 
We can't blame a common man if he thinks that this judge, because of her perverse and bizarre judgement lacks even common sense, is obstructing the course of justice, aiding and abetting the accused, has inflicted an act that is tantamount to molesting the defendant a second time, and that she should be punished under the very POCSO act she tried to distort and mutilate. 

But then the common man has enough common sense to realize that these aberrations of our long-winded and time consuming justice delivery machinery are essential components of the justice seeking procedures, and that he has to put up with such corrupt elements among the trained police force, professional lawyer community, and the scholarly judges fraternity.
