It Is Time Modern AI Meets Ancient Vedanta!

Deep fake images, videos, and news are creating zero-trust societies, using the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools. Today, we just can't distinguish between true and false news. Consequently, we can't take trust for granted, we can't trust anyone, forcing us to assume that everyone and everything on the Internet is out to get us!

Eliot Higgins, founder of the investigative group Bellingcat, used an AI tool called Midjourney to imagine in pictures what the former president might look like being arrested. These pictures have been viewed millions of times. View this report

On top of it, a new study by three MIT scholars has found that falsehood diffuses significantly farther, faster, deeper, and more broadly than the truth, in all categories of information, and in many cases by an order of magnitude.

From communication and transport to healthcare and connectivity to blockchain and gene-editing to self-driving cars and 3D-printing, advances in technology are meant to enhance our lives for the better. AI is continuing to change the world and shaping the future of humanity. But, instead of helping us humans and making our lives more comfortable, the progress of AI seems to be driving us exactly in the opposite direction - to make our lives wretchedly unhappy and miserable.

Living in a Zero-Trust World

So, how do we meet the challenge of living in a Zero-trust World? Well, to live in this modern world without losing our sanity, we have to get back to our roots. We have to take recourse to the ancient Vedantic philosophy, knowledge, and way of living. According to Vedanta, Brahman is the true Self, consciousness, awareness, the Absolute Truth, and the only Reality. Brahman is That which is unborn, unchanging, and immortal.

It is time to realize the Vedantic truth that as is within, so is outside. Everything that exists in the external world is Maya (illusion) and is first created by energy in our consciousness. The external world is a manifestation of our collective consciousness.

That is, whatever is created in the consciousness will be manifest in the external world. So, if we create love, kindness, empathy, energy, enthusiasm, passion, progress, and zest for modernization in our collective consciousness of humans then these qualities will become the characteristics of our world. It is but natural that people all over the world should show increasing interest in a philosophy that has such a universal appeal.

It is time modern AI meets the ancient Vedanta!
