My Companion On This Journey Of Life

Wow, what a beautiful milestone! Fifty years ago, a remarkable woman, now celebrating her 70th year, said "yes" to a journey of a lifetime with me. Today, I honor her grace, wisdom, and the enduring love that began five decades ago. This tribute celebrates not just a moment in time, but the countless moments of joy, challenge, growth, and unwavering companionship we've shared. 

Fifty years of love, Fifty years of marriage, and Fifty years of treasured memories. 

My dearest Vasanth, today we celebrate our golden anniversary, a beautiful chapter within your remarkable 70 years on this planet.

Half A Century Together 

As I look at you today, my heart swells with a love that has only deepened and grown richer with each passing year. It feels like just yesterday we set sail on this incredible voyage, full of dreams and hopeful anticipation.

The ocean of life has presented us with calm waters and thrilling adventures, and yes, a few storms that tested our strength. But through it all, your hand has been my constant anchor, your love my unwavering guiding star.

Together, we built a world that now spans continents, didn't we? Our two daughters, one a vibrant part of Dubai and the other a cherished resident of Singapore, are such a testament to the love and care you poured into raising them. And our family's reach extends even further, to our grandson of 22, now in the USA for his studies, and our younger grandchildren in Singapore – our bright thirteen-year-old granddaughter and our spirited eleven-year-old grandson. Each of them carries a piece of your warmth and your spirit within them. As Khalil Gibran wrote, 

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth." 

You have been that steady bow, my love, guiding and nurturing them all.

For fifty years, Vasanth, you have been my confidant, my best friend, my greatest supporter, the heart of our family, and the most wonderful partner I could have ever wished for.

You have filled our days with such warmth, our home – wherever we've made it – with so much love, and my life with a purpose that has grown to include the incredible joy of watching our children and grandchildren flourish. Your spirit, as vibrant and captivating as it was five decades ago continues to inspire me and now shines through the lives of our descendants. Tagore's thought, 

"The song that I came to sing remains unsung till today," 

which explores themes of waiting, anticipation, and the enduring nature of a desire that hasn't been fulfilled, reminds me of the endless possibilities and the enduring nature of our life together.

Today, on this special anniversary of our beautiful beginning, I celebrate not just the woman you were then, but the extraordinary woman you have become – my loving wife, our devoted mother, and our cherished grandmother. My heart overflows with gratitude for you in my life, for the incredible family we have created together, for the journeys that have taken us across the globe, and for the many more beautiful years I hope we have together, perhaps even with more trips to Dubai, Singapore, and the USA!

Hand in hand, we navigated all of life's challenges, walking this path together, side by side, through our years in Trivandrum (1 year), Ahmedabad (9 years), Riyadh (2 years), Sharjah (20 years), Abu Dhabi (7 years), and Bangalore (11 years).

Thank you for your unwavering love, for your endless patience, for your infectious laughter, and for the comforting presence you bring to every single day. Thank you for building this beautiful life with me, for the family we cherish, and for the countless memories we hold dear.

Looking back over these fifty years, my heart is filled with gratitude for every moment we've shared, every challenge we've overcome, and every joy we've celebrated together. 

And looking ahead, my love, my greatest hope is to continue this journey by your side, hand in hand, for many more years to come.
