About Me

Introduction

What drives me to write blogs on varied subjects in the twilight of my years?

  • I write because ideas deserve light.  There are countless thoughts waiting to be explored, and through expression, they find meaning.  Emotions reveal themselves only when given voice, and creation is the bridge to that revelation.
  • I write because this is how life speaks through me.  At the edge of time, my words are not endings but seeds—planted for minds yet to come.  Writing is my way of proving that understanding is eternal, and creation is the truest form of living.
  • I write because clarity is my compass.  Every word I shape is a step toward understanding.  By rebuilding arguments, I sharpen their truth and strengthen my own spirit.
  • I write because value is not measured by applause.  Whether or not others read or praise my words, their worth lies in the act of creation itself.  In writing, I do not merely understand—I grow, I endure, and I leave behind a legacy.

Drawing on my scientific background, philosophical mindset, spiritual understanding, geospatial literacy, and holistic well-being, I strive to contribute to meaningful social change.

After working with ISRO for 13 years mainly as a Scientist in the Remote Sensing program, I worked in the UAE for 27 years in the field of Mapping and GIS.

In the last 6 years of my professional career (2008-2014), I worked for the Abu Dhabi Government's Spatial Data Infrastructure program as a Senior Consultant to lead the development of Geospatial data standards. In this capacity I interacted with several government departments and public sector organizations of Abu Dhabi.

The work included understanding the organizations' overall objectives, including their 4-year strategic plans, as well as studying the nitty-gritty details of their business processes to understand what data need to be collected to satisfy their in-house and customer services applications. These are more or less the same for most governments the world over.

I also had the opportunity to prepare Strategic Plans for a couple of whole-of-government initiatives of the Government of Abu Dhabi.
