Practise Dying!

Practise Dying! Yuck! What an eerie, strange, and frightening topic! Well, read on all of you, especially my senior comrades.

We cannot go back in our lives, while in the last lap of our life's journey, being afraid of the final destination of death. The greater the fear of death, the greater the urge to keep on living.

But do we have to tremble with fear while contemplating that inevitable yet unexpected event? When the flowers we have given birth to (our children), develop into fruits (blossom), the petals (we) will inevitably drop off on its own.

The best way to overcome that fearful state of mind is to slowly get acquainted with death, the act of rejoining the supreme being from where we originated, and get ready to embrace that final moment with joy.

And how do we go about doing that; that is, how do we experience its blissful joy? The answer is simple - by practising dying while we are still alive!

By slowly giving up our material possessions, unfulfilled desires, and emotional attachments in pursuit of mental peace and tranquility.

This video entitled 'Fear by Kahlil Gibran - A Life Changing Poem on Overcoming Limiting Beliefs' by Simerjeet Singh provoked all these thoughts in my mind.

Thoughts lead to feelings. Feelings lead to actions. Actions lead to results. Let me patiently wait and see what the results would be!
